Label the date and protect the pen
Unopened Mounjaro KwikPen and Wegovy FlexTouch pens are stored at 2°C–8°C. Keep them away from freezing surfaces and follow the leaflet's light-protection instructions. Keep medicines out of children's sight and reach.
After first use, limits differ: the Mounjaro KwikPen leaflet permits up to 30 days not above 30°C; Wegovy FlexTouch has a six-week in-use period below 30°C or refrigerated. Check your own pack, especially if the device changes. These rules do not apply to Wegovy tablets.
If the temperature history is uncertain
Record what happened, its possible duration and any temperature readings. Keep the medicine separate from usable stock, follow appropriate storage while awaiting advice and contact the dispensing pharmacy.
Do not use a pen that has frozen. Clear liquid does not prove a pen remains suitable after a temperature excursion. Ask whether it can be used, whether its usable life changes and how to dispose of it if necessary. Keep the pharmacist's decision with your first-use and expiry notes.
